Who I am
VHV Home Services is run by Viktor Handziuk, based in Dartford, Kent. I am the data controller for the personal information described here. You can contact me at handziukviktor@gmail.com or on +44 7312 767068.
What information I collect
- When you use the contact form or message me on WhatsApp: your name, postcode or town, whether the property is a home or business, the services you are interested in, how often you want them, any message you write, and your phone number (which I see when you message me).
- If we agree a job: your address and any access details needed to carry out the work, plus payment records.
- Technical data: this website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Your hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security.
How the contact form works
The form on this website does not send your details to me or store them. When you press send, it opens WhatsApp with your message ready to go, and nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp. Messages sent through WhatsApp are handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy.
Why I use your information
- To reply to your enquiry, give you a price and arrange the work. This is necessary to take steps at your request before a contract, and to carry out the contract.
- To keep records of the work and payments, including to meet tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).
- To send a reminder before a regular visit, or to follow up on a job, which is in my legitimate interest of running the business and serving you well. I will not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Who I share it with
I do not sell your personal information. It may be processed by providers that help me run the business, such as WhatsApp (Meta), my email provider, my accountant or accounting software, and the website host. This website also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is sent to Google when the page loads.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 12 months. Customer and payment records are kept for as long as you are a customer, and for up to 6 years afterwards to meet accounting and tax requirements. After that they are deleted.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information I hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how I use it, or ask for a copy you can move elsewhere. To do any of these, email me at the address above. I will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, please contact me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If I change how I use your information, I will update this page and the date above.
